These earrings are part of the braided series, but include some unique details of their own from the other earrings in the series. The white beads are a very tiny size seed bead, one that isn't easy to find. These beads I've had for a couple of decades. Not only is it difficult to find them, but it's difficult to find a needle and thread that can fit through them. Their size also makes for a long stringing process, but the detailed outcome is worth it. They are braided part way down and left as loose fringe on the bottom. The braid that is used is what I called a 'fishtail' braid when I was growing up and we used to braid my hair this way sometimes. It uses five pieces to braid rather than only three. Finally the beaded pink and gold cap that surrounds the fringe is an idea I had for awhile and wanted to play with. I had to come up with a unique beaded suspension for the combination of the fringe and cap, which utilizes a solid triangular brass bead and topped off with handmade brass ear wires. It's the small details that matter, and these earrings are full of them!
