The L400 Bello Monte Pleco is a rare and visually striking Hypancistrus species with bold black and white striping. It prefers fast-flowing, well-oxygenated water with rocky hiding places and low to moderate lighting. Though somewhat shy, it becomes more active and confident in a stable, peaceful tank setup.

Feeding Habits

• Protein-Based Foods: Thrives on sinking carnivore pellets, bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and other frozen or live meaty foods.
• Vegetable Matter: Occasionally accepts blanched zucchini, spinach, or high-quality algae wafers.
