Whether you're rewiring a vehicle, repairing a frayed cable, or organizing a control panel, exposed wire connections are a safety hazard and a reliability risk. This heat shrink tube 2:1 ratio electrical sleeving gives hobbyists, auto technicians, electricians, and electronics builders a clean, durable way to insulate, protect, and identify wiring — without the mess of tape or the bulk of conduit.
Each listing covers 1 meter of tubing per order, available in diameters from φ0.6mm (≈0.024") up to φ210mm (≈8.27"), and in seven colors: Black, White, Red, Green, Yellow, Blue, and Clear. The tubing is made from polyolefin, a flame-retardant thermoplastic that shrinks to approximately half its supplied inner diameter when heat is applied — no adhesives, no tools beyond a heat gun.
Typical use cases include automotive wiring harness repair, soldered joint protection on PCBs and electronics, color-coded cable labeling in server racks and control boxes, and strain relief on power tool cords. The wide size range makes this a go-to for both fine gauge wire insulation (φ0.6mm–φ3mm) and large cable bundling or pipe protection (φ60mm–φ210mm).

Measure the outer diameter of the wire or connector you need to cover, then select a tube whose inner diameter is slightly larger than that measurement. Because this tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio, the recovered diameter will be approximately half the supplied diameter. For example, a φ6mm tube will shrink down to roughly 3mm. When in doubt, size up one step.
A 2:1 ratio means the tubing will shrink to approximately half its original inner diameter when heat is applied. For example, a φ10mm tube will typically recover to around 5mm. This ratio is the most common for general-purpose electrical insulation and wire bundling.
Generally, a heat gun set to around 90–120°C (194–248°F) is sufficient to activate the shrink. A lighter or match can work in a pinch, but a heat gun provides more even, controlled shrinkage. Avoid direct flame contact, which can scorch or damage the tubing.
This tubing is generally suitable for indoor electrical work, automotive wiring harnesses, and light outdoor applications. For harsh outdoor environments with prolonged UV or moisture exposure, we recommend confirming suitability with us before ordering, as adhesive-lined or heavy-wall variants may be more appropriate.
This tubing is typically rated for low-voltage applications (generally up to 600V) and operates across a temperature range of approximately -55°C to +125°C (-67°F to +257°F). Please contact us to confirm specifications for your specific application.
Yes. Larger diameter sizes (φ20mm and above) are well suited for bundling multiple wires or cable looms. Choose a diameter that, when shrunk, will hold the bundle snugly without excessive compression.
No — all color options share the same electrical and mechanical properties. Color is used for identification, organization, and aesthetics. For example, red and black are commonly used for positive and negative leads, while clear allows the underlying wire or label to remain visible.
Divide the millimeter value by 25.4 to get inches. For example: φ6mm ≈ 0.24" (about 1/4"), φ10mm ≈ 0.39" (about 3/8"), φ25mm ≈ 0.98" (about 1"). Use this as a guide when matching to AWG wire gauges or imperial connector sizes.
